Like everything in life, Scouting is not free. Troop 457 hosts several annual fundraisers to support our program and reduce the cost of membership for our Scouts.
- Tickets for our annual Chicken Barbeque and direct donations to the Troop help fund our Troop operations like repairs to the Troop trailer, maintaining camping equipment, and covering overages from other activities.
- Your support of our Flower Sale, Trails End popcorn purchases, and direct donations to a Scout are credited directly to the Scout’s account and can be used by the Scout to cover the cost of attending campouts, summer camp, expeditions at the BSA’s high adventure camps, their Eagle Scout project, and more.
Our Troop thanks you for whatever support you can provide, even if it is just a kind word or sharing a story about your time in Scouting.
Chicken BBQ Dinner
Unlike our other fundraisers which help fund an individual Scout’s adventures in Scouting, our annual Chicken Barbeque helps to fund our Troop’s operation. This annual event is held every September in beautiful Four Corners Park in downtown Zelienople, PA.
Flower Sale
Every spring, our Troop sells tickets good for a 10 inch hanging basket at J.E. Mussig Greenhouses in Zelienople. A portion of each ticket goes directly to the Scout selling the ticket to fund their Scouting adventures.
Trails End Popcorn
In the fall (and throughout the year online), our Scouts have the opportunity to sell popcorn products from Trails End. A portion of each sale benefits our local Council and a percentage goes to the Scout to fund their Scouting adventures.
Donate
Friends and family who don’t live in the Zelienople area or those who want to give without receiving a product in return can donate to the Troop or an individual Scout’s account through a direct cash donation.
