  • NEW SECTION A spotlight on Troop policies and procedures. This month we learn about completing service hour requirements for rank advancement

And, don’t forget, the Troop has been publishing a weekly podcast highlighting upcoming events and RSVP deadlines. You can find the podcast in most podcast episodes and on the Troop Website (where you can also subscribe to receive the text of the podcast via email).

POLICY & PROCESS SPOTLIGHT
SERVICE HOURS

Serving our Community and our neighbors is such an important part of the Scouting experience that it is part of the Scout Oath. We reenforce this duty by requiring Scouts complete service hours in order to achieve every rank except Scout.

Service hours can be completed as part of a Troop activity or individually. Scouts who want to complete service hours on their own must obtain Scoutmaster approval BEFORE completing the service.

The Serving Our Community module of the New Member Bootcamp course provides more information about identifying service projects, requesting Scoutmaster approval, and logging your service hours.  Click the button below to learn more.
