Hello Troop 457!

I hope this message finds you all in great spirits and ready for the adventures that lie ahead. As the Scoutmaster, I am continually filled with thanks for the opportunity to be a part of such a dynamic and inspiring group of young people. Your enthusiasm, dedication, and willingness to learn and grow not only make our Troop a vibrant community but also remind me daily of the profound impact Scouting has on shaping the leaders of tomorrow. It is a privilege to support and guide you through your Scouting journey.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Here is a quick look at all the Troop events coming up in the next month.

ILST Training

Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops (ILST) is a training program designed to teach Scouts with leadership positions about their new roles and how to most effectively reach success in that role. All Scouts, especially those elected to leadership positions, are invited to attend even if they have taken the course before.

Miracle on Main Street Parade

Break out your Santa Hats and come help support our Community and our Cub Scout Pack as we walk in the Zelienople "Miracle on Main Street" Christmas parade. Scouts to pass out candy canes with mini-flyers to help recruit for the Pack.

Reindeer Race

Member of our Troop and their families are encouraged to participate in the race or to volunteer to help by working the water station or directing runners on the course. This year's race is being run in memory of Aiden Lutz, a Scout from Butler who was killed in a hit-and-run earlier this year.

Wreaths Across America

The opportunity to continue serving in our community continues at Noon on Saturday, December 16 with Wreaths Across America. We will be partnering with American Legion Post 474 to place wreaths on veterans graves in Zelienople Cemetery.
