,
For those of you who do not know me, my name is Tim Maloney and this January I took over as Troop 457's Scoutmaster from Jason Stewart who has held the position since 2013. I hope that, as a former member or parent in our program, you look back fondly on the time spent with our Troop.
We are excited to have over 35 Scouts in our program and last year we welcomed our 100th Eagle Scout to our ranks. The Troop is growing thanks to our active Cub Scout Pack and our Scouts recruiting efforts.
Today, I'd like to ask your support with a new Scholarship program. Most of our Scouts are able to cover the cost of participating in our program through our fundraisers and their family's financial contributions. But not all our members are that lucky. We occasionally learn that some of our members are not participating in activities like Summer Camp because their families can't cover the cost.
That's where we need your help. The Troop has always made it work, but as we grow we need additional assistance to cover these costs. There are several ways you can help us with this program:
-
- Pledge your support to help a Scout participate in our program
- Donation used uniforms or camping gear
- Share news of the program with family, friends, and fellow Troop 457 Alumni. Additional resources (i.e. images, videos) are available via the link below to help spread the word.
Click the button below and to pledge your support today. As always, don't hesitate to reach out to me or any Troop leader with questions, comments, or concerns. |
